Church members may sign up to provide Altar Flowers for a Sunday of their choice. The information provided regarding the reason (e.g. in honor of, in thanksgiving for, etc.) is printed in the bulletin. You may take your flowers with you after the final worship service.

Church members may sign up to sponsor the Eternal Flame bimonthly of their choosing. Information provided regarding the reason (e.g. in honor of, in thanksgiving for, etc.) is printed in the bulletin.
What Is The Eternal Flame? This is the candle that is always lit in the sanctuary. The symbolism behind the flame holds deep roots in the Christian faith., dating all the way back to the Old Testament! To learn more about it’s history CLICK HERE.

Ushers provide an invaluable service before, during and after worship. They help prepare people for a positive worship experience by greeting them, distributing bulletins, and assisting with seating. They are also available to answer questions and extend extra help if needed. A short training session is provided.
Am I Required to Usher Every Sunday? No, you will be placed on an ‘usher team.’ A schedule is set to best fit the needs of each team.

Technology is always improving! We are committed to implementing and maintaining a robust technology plan focusing on the following areas: Live streaming, sound, other audio/visual needs, creating PowerPoints, assisting staff with computer needs, and beyond.
This team is responsible for Live Streaming worship services each Sunday. We welcome members with computer expertise or those that wish to learn. We are also looking for people with sound system expertise.

This team helps to maintain our building and grounds. They are in charge of church maintenance (e.g. lawn & garden care and light building repairs). They also oversee contracted projects (e.g. carpet cleaning, painting, snow removal, etc.). They are always looking for people with knowledge of skilled trades such as carpentry, electricity, painting, plumbing, and cleaning.

This group of volunteers offers assistance to our office manager. Some tasks include helping with bulk mailings (stuffing envelopes, labeling, etc., and occasionally helping answer phones.

This committee meets bi-monthly and oversees religious education programming. Programs include events such as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Adult Education/Bible Studies. They also plan both the Advent and Pancake breakfasts.

This committee comes together to make the church festive for each season. (ie: Fall, Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, Easter. etc.)

This committee comes together to support funeral services. They provide baked goods and will help serve if needed. We encourage those that like to bake and help support those in their time of grief to be a part of this ministry.

In the St. Luke’s Library we have books that may be checked out on a variety of different topics. This includes books for small group discussions and daily devotions. There is always a need to maintain and upkeep this area. Who Can I Talk To With Questions? Carol Van Ryzin
The Fellowship Team plans events that gets us together and having fun, things like the fall Packer Party, Christmas Scavenger Hunt, Game Night, Golf Outing, Milkman Outing, picnics, and Rally Day pig roast. We can always use more people who like to have fun and like to organize events!
